Value Based Pricing - An inspiring talk by consultant Ron Baker
The exact same bottle of water, priced differently three times. That's one of the examples of Value Pricing that expert Ron Baker, a well-known American consultant, talks about in this mind blowing presentation on Youtube.
Book tip: ‘Zag’ by Marty Neumeier
The booklet 'Zag' by Branding icon Marty Neumeier was an unadulterated game changer for me. It is a small white book and so thin that you can easily read it in a weekend or faster. Stripped of…
Book tip: Creative Strategy and the Business of Design
Reading a book or two during our holiday inspired to pick up reading again! And a Linkedin post/comment in which Chris Do mentioned this book by Douglas Davis, was the last push to order this one :)

Win a free Mr. Upside artwork?
Today I set up a low key 'Comment and Share' promotion on my Facebook Page. Not to boost sales but just for the fun of giving things away. On some level I was also curious for the amount of engagement promotions like this may generate.
Painting picknick tables at Amsterdam based restaurant Hanneke's Boom
Just a small walk away from Amsterdam Central Station, a hotspot restaurant/bar called ‘Hanneke’s Boom’ serves great, orginal organic food, beer and snacks. They contacted me last Thursday via e-mail and invited me to join a small, 'low key’ live event this Sunday, involving the painting of picknick tables.

Artworks now on view in our own home (popup) gallery in Voorburg
As the years went by, we realised we had been working at the offices of our clients mostly. So the space turned into an occasional art studio, messy storage room, second living room and party room. To name a few. Fun, but as the room takes up almost one third of our house, we had the idea to let the room generate some income.
KPN commissioned painting 2 ‘Alexander the Great’
In March 2015 I was commissioned a painting by KPN, one of the largest Dutch telecommunications providers. In October 2015, Peter, the Director Online who commissioned the painting, called if I was interested in making another painting.
Promotional photoshoot by Dutch photographer Reens de Graaf
In the Netherlands it is customary to pay a visit to a family with a newborn and bring a small gift. About two months ago, we became parents of a beautiful baby boy named Liam. Therefor Reens de Graaf, an acquaintance and photographer, recently paid us a visit and also brought his camera. The photo's of our family were stunning. That started me thinking, I also needed some photography of myself for promotional purposes.

Interview with me on Workspiration.org
Nice. Another interview with me on the website Workspiration.org and with more focus on my UI/UX Freelance Design skills than my precious art. Which is fine though, considering the talented people that surround me on the Workspiration.org website.
Studying fine artist Joan Miro
Like anyone else my ‘favorite’ artist tends to change from time to time. Doing some research now on #Joan #Miro. It’s awesome to read about the artist behind the beautiful art.
Set and ready to go for the NOW Art Fair in Eindhoven
As always, I underestimated the amount of preparation needed. Packing the artworks, renting a van, printing price cards, business cards and a wooden flyer. I’ve been busy. But the cards and the…
Review acrylic paint markers by Royal Talens Amsterdam - Intro Pack
My Intro Pack with four Royal Talens Amsterdam paint markers just came in. Tried a quick sketch but I’m not completely convinced Amsterdam is a serious competitor to Posca acryl paint markers.
Bought two art books at Loods5
Went to Loods5 today, which is a huge interior products shop (like Ikea but much better) in Sliedrecht, The Netherlands. Besides buying a nice design lamp there, I ended up with two art books by…

Extended and updated our home office ‘gallery’ with four new works. They’re hanging on a really nice hanging system called ‘Click Rail Pro’ from Artiteq.
